C-7 TEXTRON MARINE HOVERCRAFT (DECKHOUSE AND PROPELLER DUCTS)
The 65' long C-7 Hovercraft, built by Textron Marine New Orleans, was designed with an all composite deckhouse attached to an aluminum hull. SCI fabricated the tooling and 3 sets of composite deck houses for the C-7. The parts were E-glass sandwich construction using the SCRIMP Process. The entire deckhouse, including the pilot house and the propeller shrouds, were built by SCI. The parts were delivered to Textron Marine for installation.
