HOST FAIRINGS FOR THE ADVANCED SEAL DELIVERY SYSTEM
SCI built the Host Fairing Components for the Advanced Seal Delivery System, including production, tooling, and fixturing. Some areas of these fairings are over 2" thick solid laminate. All parts were UT scanned and passed all inspections. All concurrent test panels, tested by Penn State, passed testing. All composite machining and drilling and all hardware installation was done by Seemann Composites. All of the hardware installation fixtures were designed and built by SCI. The parts were shipped to Pearl Harbor and installed on the 688 Class SSN 772 Greenville with no fit-up problems.
